Space with a purpose
Movement must be possible, observable and compatible with shelter, rest and daily care.

Concept visual · not documentary
Open Pasture is the DrinEx project for building a farming system in which movement, seasons, observation and records belong to the same method.

In design and development
Outdoor access alone does not define quality. It requires designed conditions, consistent observation and the ability to reconstruct what happens over time.
Openingthe spaceis only the beginning.
01
Movement must be possible, observable and compatible with shelter, rest and daily care.
02
Seasons, growth and adaptation are not treated as noise to eliminate, but as part of the system.
03
Natural variation gains value when it can be linked to groups, events and documented decisions.
Open Pasture is being built from the conditions that make the system observable and progressively traceable.

Movement
Pasture is not a photograph or simply available land. The project must connect movement, shelter, safety and the real management of animals.
Condition · observable movement

Rhythm
Kukës brings real seasons, cold, light and environmental variation. The system will need to adapt to the territory without turning it into a romantic backdrop.
Condition · seasonal response

Observation
Health, behaviour, growth and adaptation require presence and consistent records. Observation comes before any selection criterion or quality claim.

Identity
Groups, time windows and events must converge into a readable identity. Moving into data does not replace the field: it makes it possible to remember and reconstruct it.
Condition · progressive identity
Open Pasture traceability does not begin with the final label. It begins by progressively connecting context, identity and observed events.
Explore the Innovation infrastructureContext
Territory, time window and environmental conditions give meaning to every observation.
Identity
Batches, groups and future individual identities prevent the story from becoming an anonymous flow.
Continuity
Connected events and consistent records make it possible to compare cycles without inventing conclusions.
The territory can be the starting point for serious research into hens present in Kukës. It is not yet a breed, a consolidated line or a product to declare.
Observe first. Then, perhaps, define.
01
Recognise animals genuinely present in the territory and document their provenance when known.
02
Build identities, photographs and consistent records of phenotype, health, behaviour and production.
03
Verify over time whether sufficiently stable and distinguishable traits emerge.
04
Only the data could support a possible local standard and any future process with the relevant authorities.
DrinEx does not currently use the terms “Kukës Breed” or “Kukës Native”: a standard must be a possible conclusion of research, not its starting point.

Open Pasture is a system under construction. The next step is not to promise availability: it is to define conditions, records and operational priorities well.
